Super Fantastic Coffee
Enjoy Jet Fuel for what it is: the quintessential funky/indy coffee house. It comes complete with wood floors, a zinc bar, an excellent sound system and art exhibits. Many of the patrons seem to musicians, filmmakers or actors with plenty of time on their hands in the middle of the day. They dress in black, stay a long time, and have intense conversations. Plenty of them tap away on laptops (novels? screenplays? poetry?)

The home-made muffins and mini-pastries are a steal at just $1.00. An Americano is $2.00 and are always perfectly made. Lattes cost $3.00 but can be a problem -- quality is inconsistent. Sometimes one of the drama queen barista will overdo the existensial angst thing and make some bad drinks.

There is no menu on display and newcomers are not always made to feel welcome. It is not clear how you are supposed to order or when you are supposed to pay. Customers are sometimes ignored as the staff chats away with the regulars.

All that said, the coffee is among the very best in town and the value is outstanding.
This is a unique and quirky place...with its own vibe. - Dan , posted 03/12/08

i like my latte's large
they only come in one size and it fits all or get out!

the only place i know of that will play the ramones at 7am on a saturday.

and dont bother to ask for decaf, their eyes will glaze over and ask the person next to you for their order.

the artwork on display is awesome, and it changes every so often.

no patio, but some sidewalk standing room. lookout for strollers, they will get your toes! - cinder , posted 05/14/06

Best Dang Latte You Ever Durn Had
Best damn latte in the city. If you're looking for a stripped down raw cafe experience check out this T.O. landmark in funky Cabbagetown. Excellent tunes, crisp biscottis, and pure fine lattes. Check your grande moccacinno half fat double foam pretensions at the door. At the Jet Fuel you can get herbal tea, lemondade, americanoes, and lattes. That's about it. Once in a while if you're lucky you can sniff out some baked goods, but otherwise it's the fine fresh roasted bean that keeps em coming back for more. - Marvel , posted 01/26/06

Jet Fuel Frickin' Rocks.
Oh sweet jesus...Hey Pearl, the only time I ever slept overnight on the ground of the Boston Transit Terminal, I may have had an apple stolen from me. (note the clever garden of evil...whoops...eden reference) Bad things can happen to bad people anytime my dear, and complaining about the quality of the clientele at this place is a tad bit whiney. Simply Put: Jet Fuel Rocks. They always have beautiful women makin' lemonade in the summer and the management there has been known to rent a giant plasma screen every so often to broadcast major sporting events. They have a killer sound system but one thing I'd like to see is that iTunes visualization hookup blasted on a big screen. Irie. - Unsubscribed , posted 09/14/05

Coffee = good, Clientelle = iffy
The one and only time I was in Jet Fuel, some guy tried stealing my purse. So enjoy the coffee but keep a close eye on your personal belongings! - Pearl , posted 05/09/05

Best Coffee in Town
The Jet Fuel - located at 519 Parliament St - is where I start pretty well all my days with few exceptions.
I only allow myself one cup of coffee a day, so it had better be good.
Lucky for me, the Jet Fuel is right across the street from me so I don't have to work hard for this - I'm a lucky girl.
There's an ecclectic group of regulars that certainly add to the environment - I've had some awesome conversations there with my favourite coffee.
If you're in the neighbourhood, this place is definately worth checking out. - Maribelle , posted 01/28/05
